tHe wEEkEnd dRaiNeD mE...
Hello Bloggy Boo… I haven’t written since Thursday eh?! Sorry for that… had a lot on my mind… Nothing much happened on Thursday really… I spent the morning looking through some paperwork and getting some work done for the IPPP bulletin. I had confirmed the meeting with Professor Nik at 2:30 pm the day before. So that morning I took my time to get some work done. Before I realized it was already 2:00 pm. We all got ready; all of us had to go because we had to drop Puteri over to Anna and Zul’s place for the weekend. We didn’t think it was appropriate for her to tag along this time. By the time all of us got ready it was 15 minutes to 3:00 pm. By the time I got to IPS, UM it was a little after 3:15 pm. Professor Nik was praying so I had to wait a while. I hadn’t gotten much done because I have been terribly busy the past few days. Ah well... So we chatted a bit… it was raining like nobody’s business outside. After we settled the IPPP thing and had a discussion about my MEngSc, Jenny (Sarah) came to see Professor Nik. She offered to take me to the department after her meeting. I had called Luqman like ten times by then. No answer. So later; about 5:30 pm Jenny took me to the department in her Kenari… It was my first time in a Kenari… it’s quite spacious despite the ‘bun-mobile’ look… we chatted for a while about our research projects, bitched about some of the other researchers… and at about 6:00 pm Luqman called… apparently he was at some English class at British Council… He’ll be back late so I won’t be seeing him that day… he told me he’ll be taking next week (this week) off so I won’t be seeing him for a while… oh well… there’s always another day for bitching with Luqman… :P
Abah picked me up after I called… since I knew Luqman wasn’t coming… I left Jenny and came back to Vista with Abah… We stayed there until about 9:00 pm… Anna and Zul were very late from work… I was very tired and uncomfortable by then… we left Puteri with her and drove over to Uncle Mie’s place… yups… *nods* all the in Batu Caves… because Mama wanted to pick up the tracksuit and jacket he got for her from DRB-Hicom… I changed in the car into a sleeveless t-shirt. He and Mizi had two guys over when we arrived… they were discussing some trips to be organized… they left after about five minutes… we chatted for a while… Mizi served Milo, keropok melinjo, and keropok from Terengganu… we left a little after midnight because I was watching Treasure Island on TV… we were very very very hungry by then because we had skipped breakfast and had very little for brunch… we drove all the way to Cheras and finally stopped at the only shop that was open near our place… it was some Thai food… I had my usual order of fried kuay tiow when I am out to these kinds of places… the wood was a little bland though… or maybe we were awful sleepy and tired… we drove back home… washed my face… prayed… changed… and slept… had to wake up early tomorrow…
Friday started at 7:00 am for me… I was the first to be up… everyone was tired from the night before I guess… we did some quick packing up and got dressed… we were supposed to meet Sarimah and family at 8:30 am… we were ready on time though… Tan was running a little late and we needed to get some lifejackets for the boat so Sarimah and family came up to our place to wait for Tan… they brought Bibi’ this time… Ta arrived a little after 9:00 am and we drove to some shop in Salak South to get our lifejackets… apparently the supplier will only deliver to them by noon so we had to forget about the damn thing… (it’s a swim if anything goes wrong :P)… we started our drive to Teluk Intan… Had our usual stop to buy Pau… checked into Anson Hotel… as usual my credit card gave problem during verification… hooked up the PS (we were smart this time… hehehe) and my notebook… left the suite to go out shopping a little… bought some nice yellow shoes for the next day’s ceremony…I bought myself some shirts… Sarimah and family were out on a hopping spree… they bough a bunch of stuff… we went back to our suites… I was playing on the PS2 with Azid… until about 2:30 am… had to be ready by 7:00 am the next day :P… Hazmi was very tired by then….
I was playing the Grand Theft Auto… it was hilarious… my mouth hurt from too much laughing… set my cell phone to wake us up at 6:00 am… slept…
Saturday…
I had switched off the alarmed and dozed of another 20 minutes… Dato’ called at 6:30 am to tell us he was ready… damn… we got dressed real quickly… made it ten minutes later than planned… we drove to Bagan Datoh… the shop we wanted to take breakfast was closed so we drove around the small town to find a shop that was open… found a mamak shop… had a small breakfast…
The boat was a little late but all of us were in Betin Berah Basah at around 11 am…
The ceremony took place at 12:20 that day… it was another three hours before they managed to cook all the food… ate at 3:00 pm… chicken, mutton, rice and vegetables… it was really sunny at the beach that day…
We had to walk about 3 km to the next destination… where the Perak Sultans had their spiritual coronation… did our thing… and had to go through a whole lot of muddy terrain to get to our pickup area… the mud was so deep at some parts… our new shoes were destroyed… we sunk all the way to our thighs at some points… we progressed slowly but made it through… the Dato’ almost had an asthma attack and Tan looked like he was going to have a stoke… we rested a while… more bad news came… apparently some tree fell onto the road and our cars couldn’t access the area… more walking… the villagers came to help with motorbikes… the slowly transported us to the main road where our cars were waiting… we were happy to have everything settled before dark…
Drove back to the hotel…
A little more PS2 with Azid before I went to bed…
Sunday…
A little more shopping… drive back to KL… got back at 7:00 pm… Anna and Zul came over to drop Puteri off… we were soooooooooo tired… slept…
Yesterday…
Still very tired… woke up at noon… slept… Ann woke me up when she called to ask about the bulletin… actually I got some work done in Teluk Intan… :P
Today…
Need to get some work done… still tired… but necessary…

mE TiReD...
Hey Boo… so the big shot Dato’s office was like way far… all the way in Damansara Perdana… damn it was hot that day… (Wednesday that is…) the Dato’ was already waiting for us… we were about 15 minutes late because of the traffic… so we had some discussions on the arrangements on the Teluk Intan matter and we managed to conclude a few things… he was making some jokes that I didn’t quite understand but I just smiled anyways… you’ll learn the ‘just smile’ trick after a while… you can’t afford to listen sometimes… it’s just too much… especially if you’ve employed a contractor that speak without a period… he just goes on and on and on… gosh… ah well… he gets the job done… late… but done nonetheless. The meeting lasted about an hour or so… it was almost lunchtime… Mama decided to go to Mama Anne’s house to get Adik’s wedding invitation and give him a cheque… so we drove to PJ to her house… Puteri had gone poopoo in the car and we had to change her at Mama Anne’s house… she was very excited to get another daughter in-law I guess… her house is still being renovated… just some finishing touches…
Mama Anne made some comments about Mama’s earrings and stuff like that… and she told Mama Anne that about the necklace that I am going to buy for her… I guess the 11k+ is going on my credit card after all… I told Mama Anne I’ll get her something later… she is my aunt after all… maybe a 2 carat diamond ring… or bracelet… see how much they cost… I think I’ll wait for her birthday in December… depending on whether I have extra cash of course… I think it’ll be okay though… so we left early because we had another appointment in Port Klang…
After that we went to 1Utama to look for the yellow T-shirts… found it at last… bought three… one for me, one for Mama and one for Tanti… got myself a snowcap (thought it’d look cool :P) and a tight sleeveless t-shirt (thought it made me look sexy…).
We headed to Uncle Mie’s house to get some t-shirts he got for us… but he wasn’t home and we couldn’t get him on the phone… Mizi was there and he let us in… we waited until about 7:15 pm when Uncle Mie called and told us he stopped over at Mama Anne’s house… we couldn’t wait because Anna and Zul are coming over to see Puteri… so we left… Mizi had to go out for Quran recital anyways…
The jam was impossible… Anna got to Venice Hill a little before us so she had to wait… when we got home Puteri was starting to feel bored from the jam… Anna and Zul were excited to see the baby but she was way grumpy… she started crying like crazy… I guess she was sleepy and didn’t want anyone to bother her… Anna and Zul left early… I guess they were tired and wanted the baby to rest…
Tan came over at about 10:30 pm for a short discussion about the current status of our projects and he needed me to sign some cheques… or was that yesterday?!... I can’t remember… it was late and I was really sleepy at that time… made coffee for Tan and Tanti… the discussion lasted until a little after midnight… was getting ready for bed… it was too late to call Shafiq…
When I woke up and switched on my phone… like ten messages came in from Shafiq… apparently he waited until 4:30 am for my call… oh well… I thought… I’ll call him back later… my schedule is too packed to squeeze in a meeting with him anyways… so it was another long drive to Port Klang… we were late so I had to skip breakfast AND coffee… the person we were supposed to meet were already waiting for us when we got there… so we took them to the site for them to evaluate and plan out the logistics… it was over at 1:30 pm… then we rushed over to Klang town area or somewhere near Bukit Raja area… I don’t really know because I wasn’t paying much attention for a meeting with Teh… it was already pastr lunchtime so Teh wanted to take us to some Chinese food… we were driving round and round and we couldn’t get a place to park our cars… so we told them we’ll be okay with just KFC… we drove to the nearest KFC and had lunch there… had a discussion afterwards and finally we drove back to Cheras at 4:00 pm… got home… slept for a while… I was soooooooo sleepy… and then went for sauna (I have missed my routines… I thought just one session this week is better than none at all…!) No one was at the clubhouse… so I was in the sauna alone… it’s been a while since I was able to enjoy some my time alone… stayed until about 7:45 pm… got back… prayed and got ready for dinner at Sarimah’s… we got to her house at about 8:40 pm or so… she made Tom Yam, Spicy Sir Fried Chicken, Fired Mixed Vegetables and rice… had a lot to eat… coffee… business talk for a while… and we left a little past eleven… got home a little before twelve… Called Shafiq… chatted with him just now for a while… about sexuality and stuff like that… he showed me his MySpace site and I told him all his friends looked gay… apparently they really were all gay and bisexuals… ah well… I’ve always been able to tell these things… :P
So I am going to get a little laundry done now… see ya later then…

wtf... MoRe deLaYs... dAmN...
Hey Boo… sorry I didn’t blog yesterday… by the time I got back I was really late and I was dead on my feet… fell right asleep as soon as we got back… I barely had enough energy to change… but I did though :P
We got to Teluk Intan a little before noon… stopped at some shop at the roundabout town’s shop by the roadside to get lunch+breakfast… I had ice-kacang and rice… a little too much I think… but I was really very hungry… we checked into the Anson hotel… they claim to be the best hotel in town… I guess they were right because it appears that they are the only hotel in town… we dozed off a little before the meeting with Ari and his wife at about 3… Teh was nowhere to be seen… he told us he’d get the damn pump over to the site whatever the time tonight… during the wait some Dato’ guy showed up… with about ten bodyguards or so… with vests that had “Bodyguard Dato’ Ibrahim Mat Zin” printed boldly on the backs… sheesh… I think it’d be safer for him not to advertise like that… wtf… who cares…
Ari and wife showed and we had short discussion… needed to prepare for the prayer ceremony at Betin Beras Basah… so that the spirits of the river won’t bother us or something like that… oh well… better safe than sorry… so they’ll make the arrangements and we went to Bagan Datoh to sort out some of the details… it was about an hour drive… but I’ll spare you the details…
Hazmi’s son was really ill… had a bad sore throat and hasn’t eaten for days it seems… so we had to make a stop at Pizza Hut for him to eat… it was the only thing he agreed to eat… I got the bill… just a little over a hundred Ringgit… so I don’t mind… :P
It was well after 10 pm and Teh was still nowhere to be seen… couldn’t get him on the phone… damn…
Went back to the hotel… slept… at about 1 am… dozed off while Tanti was watching Queer Eye for the Straight Guy…
Got up at about 10 on Sunday… Teh called and told us that he had some problems with the lorries… damn… so the earliest he could get the pump to Teluk Intan is next Tuesday… Mama flipped… everyone flipped… wtf… but we had to accept… there’s nothing that he could do after all…
We tried to make the best of everything and went out shopping… Ari and wife came a little later for the arrangements and a little discussion on the change of plans… concluded the meeting and headed back to KL at about 5 pm…
Got back at 8:30 pm or so… slept…
Got up as 10:30 am… had a meeting with Tan at about 12:00… finished at 2:00 pm… lunch… got ready for a meeting with the contractors at 2:30 pm… Meeting at 4:00 pm… 6:00 pm at Midvalley… looking for yellow long sleeved T-shirts… couldn’t find any… came back home at 8:25 pm… dinner… a little TV… now getting ready to sleep…
Meeting with some big shot Dato’ early tomorrow morning… so good night… or good morning… :P

tHe wEEk hAs PaSSeD... rEaLLy?! :P
Hey Boo… been so depressed lately I haven’t had the chance to blog at all this week… it all started with my visit to the Chemical Engineering Department… for my Masters in Engineering Science proposal… I found out I had missed their damned meeting… which means I have to wait a whole month for the next one… darn… I stayed at the department for half a day chit chatting with Jun, Salam, Shahrom, Dr. Che Ros, Osman, Kesavan, Saiful (who was looking good :P), Teh Eng Jin (who is making more than 10k a month) and of course Luqman… dear old Luqman for a gossip… he wasn’t in his office earlier because he had to move his stuff to another room… something about the college restructuring or something shitty like that… Mama, Abah and Tanti picked me up from UM at 2:30 pm and we were off to next appointment at Batu Caves (Uncle Mie) that took until about 4:00 pm plus traveling… We headed to Port Klang for a meeting with Teh, our contractor, to smoothen out things to commence work on the 7th… that went well… he was talking a lot… as usual and we had dinner at Klang… some sort of Minang food… didn’t like it very much… too greasy… even for my taste…

a DaY aT IpS...
Hey Boo… So I had coffee in the car and by the time I got to UM it was almost 10:30 am… I told Professor Nik I’d be there by 10… damn… I thought… but as I was about to enter the Institute of Postgraduate Studies building my phone ringed… It was her telling me she’ll be coming in five minutes… great… I told her I was already at IPS and she apologized for making me wait…
She found my application form… thank god… A little alterations to my proposal and that was set aside… this happened in the first hour… with Professor Nik whisking in and out of the room entertaining a bunch of people who are going to Geneva with her tomorrow. So I quietly worked on her Dell and then fooling around with her Fujitsu notebook. Devaraj arrived a little later and he filled in some recommendations for my proposal… he wants to be my co-supervisor… I don’t mind… he is an expert in the field after all, and he’d be much help I am sure of it… so then I helped him set his notebook and Professor Nik’s notebook to run the video at the Geneva convention… fixed their PowerPoint slide to run in a loop for their display… copied some backup files for them… all this while we discussed my project and the rubber industry… :P and then we were off to lunch… Devaraj’s treat… at the Grand City in Section 11… not to bad… I had a big heap of rice on banana leaf… gosh I must have had enough to feed three people… diet my ass… :P topic of discussion was my career up to my PhD and then university politics, then we were bitching about some guy… the Head of Civil Engineering Department I think… :P so by the time this was over it was almost 4 pm… my brain was saturated with my project, the rubber industry, and the Geneva convention… I have seen so much I feel like I am going there too… :P 6 hour meeting… hehehe… all in one… discussion + lunch + bitching…
Mama, Abah and Tanti picked me up from IPS and we headed to Giant to get coffee… can’t bear to go through another day without coffee… there was some sausage eating competition there… boy they are going all out to get people to eat sausage again… I don’t mind… if sausages become cheaper, all the better for me… I love sausages…
Got back fooled around with Neopets a while… Leonard said hi but I was too sleepy to chat… he said he was chatting with someone… I was too sleepy to wait in line… so we exchanged goodbyes… made coffee and saw Crayon Sin Chan on tv… Nathan was looking for me so I turned on my PC again… said hi to some of my friends… chatted with Nathan for a while… read Leonard’s Blog… gave some stupid comment… I am so not in a position to comment… sheesh… ah well…
So now here I am… going to retire early I think… need rest… got more paperwork to get rid of tomorrow…

DaMmiT... DaMmiT... wHeRe'S mY CoFFee...
Hey Boo… Today’s swim wasn’t too bad… other than the fact that I’ve lost my stamina… Ten laps and I was beat… actually I had a couple more laps in me but I didn’t want to risk a cramp… sauna was especially nice… I was alone for the most part of it… I always prefer to sauna alone… more privacy that way… or I am just selfish… :P then there was Ah Tip (the owner of the bar next to the clubhouse who looks like a character called Ah Tip from a kung-fu series I used to follow on TV :P), but Ah Tip is okay because he keeps to his side and is usually quiet… it’s the water freak that I can’t stand… he’ll just keep pouring water onto the rocks until your ears hurt from the heat… sheesh… I really can’t stand water freak… but he wasn’t there today… they made some changes to the sauna too… they changed the lights…. It’s not too bright now… dim and nice…

Hey Bloggy Boo… I am glad to say that I’ve finally completed my proposal and I have submitted it for Professor Nik Meriam to correct… about five minutes ago… yeeeha… one down for today. Excited for more progress tonight. It’s really important that she goes through it and give some comments and then finally submit it to the Department for it to be approved for the upcoming meeting… I gave her a call and she seemed to be distant and preoccupied with something… normally I would say “Do you want me to call back?” but this time it’s an emergency so wtf man… She said she’ll look at it and I should go see her at around 10 tomorrow… I hope that there won’t be too many changes… and I pray to god that the Department Board accepts this without any amendments… amen…
So the IPPP Bulletin still needs a few more things… all pending form representatives of each Faculty so the delay is not my fault… and Professor Nik will hook me up with Anne so I can make some progress while she is gone… :P

Hey Boo… Today has been a real drag… We got home a little after 12 last night from Sarimah’s… She sure prepared a lot for us to eat… I was eating like a pig… as usual… :P I had two servings of rice, with a big heap of rending, three pieces of ‘ayam goreng rempah’ (Indonesian bibi’ style… hehehe), a lot of fried vege with shrimps, a big bowl of strawberry Jello with some sort of pineapple dices in it, lots of mango, guava and papaya with hot soy sauce for desert, root beer, and three cups of hazelnut coffee… now that I am listing it out, I am surprised I didn’t explode… this size 32 could sure take a lot… so much for trying to lose weight… it’s always a bitch of a situation… when I am trying hard to lose weight, someone will invite us for dinner… and cook real good food… damn… I just don’t have the discipline to stop myself… and coffee… ahhh… coffee… who can resist coffee… Puteri was very cooperative last night too… she was sleeping on that huge round mattress in Sarimah’s hall the whole time… I guess she must’ve exhausted from all the goo goo and gaa gaa she had all day… she’s really growing fast… she’s starting to mumble (or sometimes gargle…) word out now… and she can shout at you to get your attention… she’s getting heavy too… I think she’s over 6 kgs now…
Earlier we had to send Ramang back to UM because his brother called and needed help with some competition or something like that… I was thinking maybe he’d sleep over a few more days and I’d send him back when I am going to see Professor Nik… but he insisted so we had to drive him back… made a quick stop a Giants on the way to get some eggs, sugar and evaporated milk… Mama wanted to make caramel pudding for Sarimah. I picked up a couple more things. It was a drag too because apparently the line for the credit card was busy and it kept rejecting my Gold Card… the bitch cashier tried three times and made a bithcy face when she asked me whether I had another card… I asked her what the problem was and she told me the line is busy or something like that (sounding irritated… as if it was my fault…) … she could’ve at least smiled… bitch… I thought… and I gave my other card…the one I got from Maybank… I never use that card… I only use one… I don’t see why people need more than one… I only got the other one because the bank officer practically begged me to take up their credit card… since she was nice and I have to see her often and couldn’t bear to have her to ask me over and over each time she sees me I figured what the hell… so I know I learn of one reason why you should have more than one credit card… in case some bitch tells you that your card doesn’t work, you’ll have another for back up… so I was a long drive because traffic was quite heavy on the Federal Highway and the radio was playing some stupid ass song… until I heard Mockingbird… that cheered me up a little… I asked Ramang whether he could make up what Eminem was saying and he managed to pick up a few words… must be the slang or something… he must think that I was trying to be a bitch… but I just wanted to know if he could pick up the words because it was nice and I was impressed that the singer could speak the whole thing through without a stop… ah well… it was almost five when we got to UM and the traffic was hell there… cars were driving in the opposite direction and it was just impossible to drive through… In the jam I say Aziz and Dr. Kheireddine pass but they didn’t notice me… ah well… apparently the road was flooded because the drains were clogged by the dried leaves… the guards finally came and managed to clear the thing by raising the drain covers… then it was the usual clear roads again… we dropped Ramang off and he gave the cds for Bleach episodes 1 to 20 or so… I saw them already but I figured what the hell… the drive back was long too… I was freezing in the car and I had to switch off the air-conditioning twice… we got back… fooled around with my Neopets for a while and then it was over to Sarimah’s… it was about 8ish then…
I was trying to get my proposal ready today… but I kept dozing off… it’s a good thing BinaPuri’s lawyers are still preparing the agreement… so the meeting should be tomorrow… I am too tired mentally to see anyone today… although we couldn’t weasel our way out of tonight’s meeting with the contractor… he insists that we meet tonight and he’ll take us out for seafood or something… great… more calories to go straight to my ass… gosh… so there’s still my proposal… I have to prepare it today… send it over to Professor Nik tomorrow and make sure she sends it over to Dr. Kheireddine before she leaves for Geneva… the last thing I need now is to miss this month’s Senate meeting… the delay will be intolerable… I’d have to wait another month… or two… *sigh Devaraj’s thesis really helps… I better get back to work… I need to go for a swim too today… it’s been a while… and sauna too… ok then… will write more when I come back tonight…

Hey Boo… Got up early… got my hair cut… got a good cup of coffee… meeting with Tan… or rather listened in only… :P determined to get some progress on the IPPP Bulletin. It’s not that it requires much though… it’s just that I have to actually just sit down and get it done… being as how Professor Nik puts it… computer savvy :P
But I think the exposure of handling the publication of this bulletin is quite a good exposure for me… especially since I want to get into the researcher bunch…

Hello Bloggy Boo… I have been up all night and all that I can say is I only manage to complete 25% of my work… there’s just too many gaps to fill… serves me right for not doing it earlier… damn it… today was a good day though… Ramang seems to like it here… oh I didn’t mention he slept over here… :P Anna took care of Puteri most of the time so Tanti got some time off from being the substitute mother… we managed to squeeze in a game of monopoly (Ramang had Mama go bankrupt…) and scrabble… I got the 50 bonus points for using all my letters in one go… :P
Hamid came over to discuss some matters of the Labuan project in a more… how should I say… personal environment… I don’t mind it… he’s a close family friend… and I will be damned if I don’t claim my 250k ringgit diamond Rolex from him… :P
I need some sleep now… need to face the computer again tomorrow… and I have an early meeting… *sigh

Hey Bloggy Boo… it has been a busy weekend for me. I haven’t had the chance to write for a while now… we were out on Saturday… grocery shopping… by the time we came back it was past lunchtime… I hate going to the market… I really do… I always argue with Abah about going to the market… gosh I hate going to the market… we went anyways, because Abah usually gets his way… but we get away by staying in the car… hehehe… Anna and Zul came over…
On Sunday, I had to go to Teluk Intan… to see the site for our new set up… we went in Tan’s car… boy it was a tiring trip… I was baking in the hot sun… :-P
Monday was spent finishing up some of Professor Nik’s bulletin…
Tuesday, I went to UM for a meeting with a IPPP Bulletin’s Editorial members… was 30 minutes late thanks to the flat tire… met Luqman, Jun, Salam, Aifa, and two juniors whom I didn’t ask of their names… Went to the department to see Luqman’s room… he bought a bunch of things from Ikea… I think he’s made the room look so cute… it’s so him… I especially like the plaque of his degree with the First Class (Lulus Dengan Cemerlang) printed across… his parents must be so proud… didn’t get to chat much with him because Mama, Abah and Tanti was already on the way to get me…
I don’t remember much of what happened in the last two days… This means that they were both uneventful and unproductive…
Today was alright… prayers were as usual… uneventful… had a lot to eat… need to lose some weight… Hmm… will write more soon… promise… and I finally got into the Legend of the Green Dragon…
