A trip to Low Yat sure solved the irritation I've had to face with the stylus on the tablet PC. For just RM18 I got a USB Keyboard... yeehaa...

cHooSiNg a bRiDe...
I got this from a good friend and thought it was cute... enjoy!
How to choose a bride, Malaysian style
A mother was very concerned that her middle-aged son has
not shown the slightest indication of getting married.
So one day she called him over to her house.
The son came home from work, grudgingly.
Upon arriving, he found that his mother had gathered a few
beautiful ladies at the house for him to choose as his future bride.
The first one was a well-endowed telephonist-cum-receptionist.
He immediately commented that: "Aiyaa... mother, they always
say.... PLEASE HOLD ON, HOLD ON....."
The second nominee was a leggy secretary. She was also
rejected.
Reason being: "Aiyaa... mother, this one aaa..., secretary always
fond of saying "PLEASE SLOW DOWN, SLOW DOWN...."
By this time, the mother is nearing frustration.
She called a sweet but plain-looking teacher.
The son suddenly agreed!!
The mother was surprised and asked: "Why this one? The
earlier two were a lot more better looking!"
He replied: "Teachers aaa.... teachers very good, very good, always
say: PLEASE REPEAT, DO IT AGAIN, I Want it done 10 times.... SOME MORE, SOME
MORE..!"
Now come the small naughty hero. Her youngest son (10 years old),
was listening quietly all this while at the other end of the room.
Suddenly, he shouted "Brother.... female mini bus conductor much
better laa.... they always say..."NAIK CEPAT, NAIK CEPAT...
MASUK, MASUK.... MASUK LAGI, DALAM LAGI...
DALAM LAGILAAAAH, MASUK BELAKANG.... BELAKANG LAGI,
BELAKANG BANYAK KOSONG!..........."
The mother fainted....

tHiS aNd tHaT...
Hey boo… it’s late and I have been working far too long on that stupid IPPP Bulletin thingy… I’ve been staring at the monitor… yeah I know… what else is new?! Oh well…
The meeting with her today was short because she had to ‘shoot-off’ for some class or something like that and the quorum was waiting for me at the car park. Went through the progress I’ve made on the bulletin and dropped by to see Ann… she was far too happy to inform me that I will be working with some guy called Suhaimi in the next issue… suddenly I am not sure if I am doing the next issue… anyways, Prof. Nik asked about the tutor position that I applied for. I told her I haven’t heard from the department. Mama appears to be right when she said I might be stuck there everyday and that my workload will be more than what they’re giving to Luqman now… that tends to happen to me… fuck it… oh well… I have made my commitments and I have prayed to God so that everything will work out for the best for everyone; and I honestly have faith it will… even though I might be stuck with menial stuff like scribing or preparing the minutes when I could be sitting in my own office and making loads of money, it’s all in the plan… so bring it on babe… I called Luqman because Prof. Nik said I should ask him what the job is going to be like even though he’s told me before that he’s free most of the time; and I asked about the pay, which turned out to be far less than I had expected… oh well… I am not in it for the money… but I can’t help but feel devalued somehow… I guess if I keep telling myself that Malay saying about the snake not losing it’s venom by creeping under through the roots, I might actually start to believe it…
I chatted with Rifqah yesterday… and a little just now. She’s her usual self I guess, although I couldn’t really tell for sure because I haven’t seen her for a while now… but then again, how much can one change.
Premjit came to see me at Lotus, just like she said earlier (which is a surprise really…!!!) and she looked so different… she’s gained some weight from what I can see but still attractive. She’s a Punjabi after all… she brought her notebook with her and insist that I take a look at it (although she’s not sure what’s wrong with it, I don’t think she’s even sure if the is anything wrong with it) so I took it back with me… she couldn’t stay because she had to go to a family outing at Hartz Chicken Buffet… hehe… so she’ll see me later to take her notebook back. Knowing her I might actually have to hold on to the thing until her next trip here… but we’ll see.
Uncle Husin called earlier about the Perlis project. Even though it’s not a big project; I am excited about it for some reason… I don’t know why. I’ll call FELDA tomorrow to find out if we get the job.
Nathan was still bitching about HP being slow to respond. I don’t understand why the transaction have to take so long anyways, it’s a purchase for gods sake… at this rate it’ll be some time before he gets his notebook.
Oh well… that’s all I have to say for now… like anyone cares anyways…
Bless…

tAbLeT pC...
Blogging on the tablet pc for the first time... it's a pain... the writing recognition software's a bit stupid for starters... the virtual keyboard is much needed to compensate for that. I suppose there're other problems like installing softwares and stuff that requires a cd rom drive...
Maybe that's why the notebook+tabletpc costs a bum...

LiViNg iN a sHoWrOOm....
More meetings coming up… there’s just so much that I sometimes forget what they’re about… at least I am not bored right. The Perlis meeting went well and it ended quickly with not much queries on both parties. It was a quick 30 minutes and the Plantation Manager gave stomped his rubber and signed the papers… it’s a done deal… god willing.
A quick shop and eat and we off… back to KL.
Anna’s move to her new apartment is well-timed I suppose. It’s been put off long enough; and the electricity is finally connected… damned connection or something like that caused the delay… now for the big question… how our apartment was going to adopt two more beds, another dining table (10 seater no less), a single bed, a queen bed, a cooker, 3 dressers and a bunch more stuff… gosh our place is going to look like some store… Mama says we need a lot of stuff for the penthouse and no use wasting away good furniture… so we’ll just bear with it for now… it’ll be like living in a furniture showroom…
Ayu and Uncle Izatdin is here to help with the moving at least… bringing along a good share of ‘stories’ for us… the ‘stories’ just don’t seem to dry up… and it always get worse and worse… who knew… I knew… or did I?! The end is always near… if only all of us could see that. *sigh*
I don’t think I can finish up the IPPP Bulletin stuff by Monday… I will try my best… we’ll see what Sunday brings…

rAmaNG... NiCe fAmiLy...
Hey Boo… I wanted to write about Ramang and his family coming over to my place on the 31st August… but I have been putting it off. Well, there’s nothing really special that happened but we’ve finally met his Mom… she’s a cute character. She is very nice and humble. A little the grandma-ish type… but I suppose she have it no other way. We took them to the clubhouse but they had to leave early because they are having guests over at their place for a birthday party. We didn’t have time to cook a proper meal for them so we had to order KFC. They didn’t seem to mind.
Work has been catching up again since then. Stress levels have increased, and consumption of ice-cream and sweets have dramatically elevated. *smiles* I suppose I’d have it no other way.
… signing off for now.
